C.G. Jung Society, SeattlePlease consider signing up for BigTent through the C. G. Jung Society, Seattle. Membership in BigTent is completely free. There are no extra costs to join BigTent, either to members or to the Society. It is an added bonus of Seattle Jung Society membership.
The purpose of BigTent is to save our volunteers the time and effort of writing renewal letters and addressing envelopes as well as saving postage costs. BigTent automatically sends emails (timed with each member's expiration date) to notify members of impending C.G. Jung Society membership expiration. BigTent then provides members a way to quickly renew their Society membership online (by credit card or check), thus also providing a convenience for renewing members. If you renew with a credit card, there is a small fee; if you wish to eliminate the fee, mail your check to the Society office.
BigTent also allows Jung Society board members to access Jung Society membership data from home computers. Volunteers who help with membership coordination are no longer required to come into the office in Wallingford to access the membership database.
The primary goal in the Society's use of BigTent is to help maintain and build C.G. Jung Society membership. This has already started to occur, bringing new members and improving finances for the the nonprofit Society as people discover the Jung Society online in this additional venue.
If you are already a BigTent member, you have been receiving email announcements of new members joining the C.G. Jung Society. Feel free to welcome them by replying to the notices in your email. BigTent does much to try to build community.
BigTent does all this at absolutely no cost to the Society. BigTent makes its money from those who pay their Society membership by credit card. Paying by check (recommended) incurs no cost at all to members or the Society.
BigTent also provides fertile ground for analysts, therapists, and counselors to market their services. Since the C.G. Jung Society, Seattle does not share its email list, or provide advertising in its newsletter, BigTtent is the best chance to reach the Society's 250+ members.
There are four ways for professionals to promote themselves on BigTent:
A bonus to members is that BigTent provides a private, moderated forum to discuss Society lectures and events. It then offers a "digest" of these forum posts that people can receive in email, or they can be turned off. Members can also contact other members whom they may have met at an event and send them a "Tent mail."
BigTent is the exact equivalent of Facebook or LinkedIn, except, unlike Facebook, it is a private, Jung Society-only forum, where membership data, such as email addresses, are protected.
The Society needs the help of members to fully implement the BigTent service. By responding to the initial BigTent sign-up link, members are activating their free BigTent account, thus saving the Society postage costs, volunteer time, and gaining convenience. There are no charges to join BigTent. All members have already been added to the BigTent database, but you, the member, must activate your free BigTent account by following the BigTent sign-up link.
More than half our members have already joined BigTent. Please help out the Society by responding to the initial BigTent link now It is free!
